The opening of The Fillmore Auditorium Summer Series began with Jefferson Airplane, Gabor Szabo, & Jimi Hendrix. This poster is extremely popular because it announces Hendrix's very first appearance at the Fillmore. Although Hendrix got bottom billing on this poster, it was not long before he got TOP billing everywhere else he played.

The central image on this "Poster From The Past" is of the face of a long haired woman viewed in profile with her hands outstretched surrounding the psychedelic style lettering.
